Program Overview
The program provides a therapeutic milieu and behavior management system which structures the residents' day and helps develop responsibility, encourages positive behavior and increases self-control.

Counseling Services
Our counseling programs help youth cope with life’s unexpected and sometimes tragic twists and turns. Our licensed staff (MFT/LCSW) provide individual, group and family counseling services to assist them with problems.

Psychological Services
Clinical psychologists with adolescent mental health specialties provide psychological services. These include a comprehensive assessment of personality characteristics, intellectual functioning , social adaptability, and screening for organic impairment. Information from the psychological assessment is used to assist in the formation of a multi-dimensional treatment plan.

Crisis Counseling
All child care staff are fully trained in Professional Assault Crisis Training (ProACT) and Life Space Crisis Intervention (L.S.C.I.) approaches. Our Certified Counselors are trained to help residents explore, process, and define who they are and who they can be in a safe and secure setting which rewards self-responsibility and problem-solving.

Recreation Therapy
Our recreation case aide provides daily recreational activities to help the resident’s develop new talents and skills, and find new ways to use leisure time.

Education
Educational services are provided through local public school districts, as well as non-public schools. Tutors are utilized through the local colleges, and school districts Board of Education.

Health Care
The medical department provides integrated services of medical appointment, medication oversight, education, community resource linkage and special medical case management . Physicians see our youth on site as well as in local offices, and when needed in hospital emergency rooms.

Emancipation Preparation And Independent Living
The primary objectives for youth in our program is to complete high school, make or start post high school educational plans, obtain job skills and training, obtain a job, start a savings account, learn self-help survival skill, develop healthy coping skills and a positive self image. Careprovider Children and Family Services ILP has been designed to teach independent living skills and prepare youth to be independent and self-sufficient. Typically residents are placed in the group home based on their needs and assessment plan which is based on a long-term goal of permanency or emancipation.

Treatment Team/Supportive Staff
Our treatment team demonstrates our commitment to excellence. The treatment team is comprised of the youth, family members, the County Social Worker or Deputy Probation Officer, and the Careprovider Professional staff members. Trained youth care professionals with firm standards, high expectations, and a deep commitment to the youth in their care, assist youth in personal care, crisis counseling, therapeutic support, and behavior modification interventions.

Volunteers /Mentors
Careprovider Children & Family Services welcomes volunteers to dedicate some valuable time at our residential treatment facilities. We believe that volunteers enhance our program by mentoring, tutoring, and participating in program activities or events.
